1. Your passport must be valid 6 months after the return

2. As from January 1, 2019, the visa is no longer required for European nationals who stay less than one month in Cabo Verde. It remains required for nationals outside Europe, except for ECOWAS nationals (Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and Togo).

For stays of European nationals of more than one month, but less than 6 months: see below, procedure for non-European nationals.

3. Vaccinations

The archipelago of Cape Verde has a very healthy climate. No vaccination is required by the authorities of Cabo Verde, unless the traveler transits through Dakar. In this case, vaccination for yellow fever is required. Nevertheless, as for many trips, vaccinations against viral hepatitis A and B are always recommended.

Cabo Verde is not a malaria endemic area. Sporadic cases have however been reported. Also the provision of anti-mosquitoes, mosquito coils and skin-applied repellents may be helpful depending on the conditions of accommodation. It is also the best protection against the Zyka virus.

No case of Ebola infection has ever been reported.
