Burj Al Arab Hotel in Dubai (UAE) is considered to be the only 7 star hotel and the most luxurious hotel in the world. It is also one of the tallest hotels (it stands 321 metres high) and is probably the most expensive one. Burj Al Arab is located on an artificial island 280 m out from Jumeirah beach, 15 km from the main city centre, and it is linked to the mainland by a private curving bridge (entrance fee). With its sail-shaped structure, Burj Al Arab is Dubai's most famous landmark.

More than 9,000 square metres of gold leaf, marble, granite and crystal have been used in the interior decor. One of its restaurants is an underwater restaurant with a shark-infested aquarium while another one is located 200 m (660 ft) above the Persian Gulf and offers a splendid view of Dubai.

Al Fahidi Fort
was built in 1787 and is the oldest building in Dubai. It is a square-shaped fort with towers at three of its corners. Al Fahidi Fort has been renovated and is currently home to Dubai Museum.

Dubai Museum was opened in 1971 and presents the traditional way of life in Dubai.

Philately House is a heritage site in Dubai situated in the historic district of Bur Dubai. It was originally built in 1905 and was reconstructed in 1930 to a two-story building and, much later, was renovated to its current structure. It hosts the emirates philatelic association (epa) and the state's collections of historical stamps and postmarks.
