The Alut Maligawa is the new shrine room of the Tooth Temple. It was completed in 1995 to celebrate the 2500th anniversary of the Buddha's death. It is located in a three-storey building in the Royal Palace Complex, just behind the old Tooth Temple.

The two other storeys of the building host the Sri Dalada Museum while the former house of the royal concubines in the Royal Palace complex is now home to the National Museum .
