The llama is a domesticated camelid in South America. It is widely used as a pack and meat animal in the Andes. The llama is 150 to 190 cm tall and can weigh up to 180 kg.

The vicuña is a wild camelid in South America. The vicuña is protected by law. It is a relative of the llama. Vicuñas produce small amounts of expensive and very fine wool.
