The Tahiti Pearl Regatta is a
regatta that provides a healthy dose of friendly competition in a tropical paradise. The four-day Tahiti Pearl Regatta attracts an average of 30 yachts, both local and international. It is a favourite for sailors looking to develop their racing ability. The racing is complemented by the evening entertainment on the islands, with Polynesian food, music, and dancing.

Billabong Pro Teahupoo is a professional surfing competition of the ASP World Tour held in Teahupoo in Tahiti (French Polynesia).

Hawaiki nui va'a is an international competition of Polynesian outrigger canoes. It is held in October or November in the archipelago of the Leeward Islands, French Polynesia. It is a canoe race on the open sea and in the lagoon. It is divided into three stages, one per day, connecting the islands of Huahine, Raiatea, Tahaa and Bora Bora.
