Gatorland Zoo, known also as the "Alligator Capital of the World", is a 45 ha (110-acre) theme park and wildlife preserve featuring thousands of alligators and crocodiles as well as reptile shows. It was founded in 1949. It is still owned by the family of its founder, the late Owen Godwin.

Attractions include Gator jumparoo show, wrestling show, up close encounters show, and a natural alligator breeding marsh.

Screamin' Gator Zip Line is the newest attraction of Gatorland. It is a Tyrolean runway that past several of the existing attractions.

Gatorland is located between Orlando and Kissimmee on the South Orange Blossom Trail (Florida), only 20 minutes away from Walt Disney World, Sea World and the Orlando International Airport. It is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and offers free parking. Animal shows are repeated several times daily. Pets other than service animals are not permitted in the park.

Brevard Zoo is a 30 ha (75-acre) zoo located in Melbourne, east of Orlando, Florida (USA). It hosts more than 650 animals representing more than 165 species.  

This zoo is divided into four sections: Expedition Africa, Australia/Asia, Wild Florida and La Selva. In addition, Paws On provides a lot of fun for the whole family: water play, aquarium, fort building, and a new animal petting area. Visiting the zoo is a half-day experience.
Brevard Zoo is located at 8225 North Wickham Road, Melbourne, a bit less than 1 hour away from Orlando or 35 min. from Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. It is open daily from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. Pets other than service animals are not permitted in the zoo.
Dinosaur World near Orlando

Dinosaur World is a chain of three outdoor dinosaur theme parks that are located in Plant City (Florida), Glen Rose (Texas), and Cave City (Kentucky) in the USA. 

The dinosaurs models, up to eighty feet in length and based on the latest scientific discoveries, are made of fiberglass, steel, and concrete. The dinosaurs are arranged in groups of as many as eleven of a single species, in a variety of settings. Various species are displayed, from the Brachiosaurus (one of the largest known land animals) to Triceratops (the last of the dinosaurs to go extinct).  

Each park features over 150 life-size dinosaur sculptures created by Christer Svensson. Dinosaur World Florida was inaugurated in 1998. It is located on Interstate 4, Exit 17, in Plant City, about 1 hour southwest of Orlando or 30 min. from Tampa. There is plenty of free parking.

Dinosaur World does not offer food service. It has excellent picnic areas.
