The Basilica of St. Stanislaus and St. Waclaw, better known as Wawel Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic church located near the Royal Castle on Wawel Hill, a fortified complex erected atop an outcrop in Krakow. The Basilica served as coronation site of the Polish kings and is the main burial site for them.

Wawel Cathedral is also known for its three iconic towers: Clock Tower, Sigismund Tower, and Silver Bells Tower. Currently, the cathedral is home to 9 bells. Five larger bells (including Sigismund Bell) hang in the Sigismund Tower. Four smaller bells are housed in the Silver Bells Tower. The Clock Tower hosts the clock mechanism and two gongs.
