 In the enclosed area of the Royal Palace in Luang Prabang, Haw Pha Bang is a new temple that houses the Phra Bang, a sacred statue of Buddha that Luang Prabang received from Angkor in the XIV century.

The Hmong people are an ethnic group in East and Southeast Asia. They live mainly in China, Vietnam, Laos, and Thailand (+ diaspora in the USA).

In Laos, there are 49 ethnic groups. The Lao Loum people are the majority. The Hmong account for about 9% of the country's population.
